Tech Survey: How ISVs Ensure Success in Managing Large Software Projects

In short

This guide helps you de-risk the process of building or modernizing complex software applications. Using the responses of over a hundred VPs of software companies, we’ve analyzed the key factors influencing the success of software projects.

Most software companies have experienced the negative impacts from the lack of rapid application development (RAD) and low-code tools available for software-as-a-service (SaaS) and web-based business applications. We wanted to know more, and learn why things can go wrong.

We reached out to more than 100 VPs of global ISVs and enterprises involved in complex software projects to take our survey. We wanted to understand their strategy for success, including how they were managing and delivering on these often-complex software development projects.

This report uncovers the greatest risks to projects, how they derail timelines and delay (or prevent) delivery. We looked at key domains such as project management, development teams, non-functional software considerations, budget, and planning. Read the report, and see which factors lead to success and which result in failure.
